ENVIROMENTALLY FRIENDLY AND SUSTAINABLE FISH FARMING
We use non-intensive fish farming techniques in our pools, which provide habitat
for a wide variety of fish and are safe for the environment.
In the Spring, the high season for fish rearing, young fish are introduced to repopulate the pools and replenish stocks for the coming fishing season. The abundant natural food available in the Summer season helps the fish develop and grow and they are not fished at this time. Their diet can be supplemented with cereals (no animal fats nor fish oil).
Autumn and Winter are the ideal time for fishing : the pools are drained and the fish caught in nets. The angling season stretches from October to March, which is when the fish can be bought for restocking. Our delivery service uses specialised lorries which transport the fish, fresh from the pools or after a very short time in holding pens.
Fish can also be bought on site for culinary use, by appointment only, during this period. Live fish can be bought all year round for predator angling.
